Ways to Wear
One brooch. Six places.
Every House of Saya piece is built to live on more than a jacket lapel. Here are six ways to move it around — and one rule.
The Rule
"Always pin through two layers, never one."
Lapel
The original gesture. A pinned brooch on a blazer collar is the easiest, most editorial entry. Works with single-breasted, double-breasted, oversized, fitted — anything with a lapel.
Scarf
Anchor a silk square or a wool wrap. The brooch holds the fold in place and becomes the focal point of the outfit. Pin through two layers, never one.
Bag strap
A leather tote takes on character with a brooch on the strap or the top corner. Works best on structured leather; skip soft suede.
Collar
Pin the corner of a shirt collar, asymmetric. One side only. It suggests intention, not just decoration.
Sari pleat
Right where the pallu folds at the shoulder. The brooch holds the drape and steals the look. Pin from the back through two layers.
Hair
Through a low bun, a braid, or a knot. Unexpected. Holds well in thick hair; use two pieces for finer hair.
