HOUSE OFSaya

Care · Cleaning

Made to outlive three handbags.

A House of Saya brooch is solid bronze with a 22ct gold polish, hand-buffed. It will age the way real metal ages — not chip the way plate does — if you treat it like the heirloom it's built to be.

Day to day

Pin and unpin gently from the back. Don't pull on the wing tips, the tassels, or the stones — even though they're set to last, they're set by hand.

If you've been sweating or out in monsoon humidity, wipe the brooch with the muslin square that came with it before storing.

Cleaning

Most pieces never need more than a soft buff with the muslin. If a piece needs more, use a slightly damp cotton bud on the stones and a dry cloth on the metal. Never soak.

Avoid: silver polish, alcohol-based cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners, anything labelled "jewellery dip."

Storage

The muslin pouch your piece arrived in is its home. Keep it flat, not stacked on other jewellery. Store away from direct sunlight and away from sealed plastic — bronze breathes.

Travel

Pin one to your jacket or scarf and travel with it. For multiple pieces, wrap each in its muslin pouch and place flat in a soft pouch or roll.

If something goes wrong

Loose clasp, dulled finish, missing stone, dropped on tile? Email hello@officialsaya.com with a photo. Repairs for the first year are free; after that, we charge cost. Most things come back better than they left.
